Morning Hospitality

Manna House Memphis offers hospitality to people experiencing homelessness and others in poverty. Hospitality includes welcoming of guests, and the offering of basic services such as clothing, hygiene items, showers, and serving coffee or other beverages. We welcome people as our guests. We learn their names and stories. Manna House is grounded in the spirit of the Catholic Worker Movement and thus we seek to welcome our guests from the streets with a spirit of hospitality that respects their dignity as human beings. We are open every Monday and Thursday from 8:00-10:30 a.m. On Monday and Thursday mornings we offer showers for men and women, “Socks and Hygiene,” along with coffee and water. We believe compassion is contagious and that justice structures compassion so that all may have life to the full.

“Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”

More on monday

More on Monday is a meal that is served at Manna House every Monday at 5:00p.m.  Guests arrive beginning around 4pm.  Volunteers should arrive by 4:30pm.

Donations of clothing etc can be brought to Manna House when we are open, or left on the front porch at 410 Garland St, Memphis, TN 38104 any day, any time.
